For Good quality food especially fish and that too Malvani style in Girgaon area, Satkar is one of the choice. We ordered Prawns Thali Surmai Thali with extra Solkadhi. The quality is very good for the food and the Solkadhi was excellent. You get choice of Chapati or Vade with one fry piece and one curry, small bowl of Solkadhi and little chutney, The price is very high compared to the content of Thali. The portions should be increased and more items like KIsmur etc can be added in the thali. The space is pretty small hence it should be arranged with the help of some interior designer. Its pretty odd that customers have to bow to go towards staircase on upper as well as ground floor. Went approx, 4 years before and there is absolutely no change in interior. The rates can be justified if these alterations/additions are done.

Try fish dishes here which are very good. I tried a pomfret fry, a bangda fry, surmai and some other fish. Preparations of all dishes were excellent. The gravy was thick and authentic konkani. See if you can order only fish and not thali so that you can savor the taste. Thali becomes too much from a quantity point of view.

One of the very famous restaurants in the area. Famous for non veg food. Good quality food. Great taste. You can get Chinese food also. Once you visit here will surely come back again. AC and non AC sections available. Food rates are ok. Highly recommended for non veg food lovers.
