First disappointment: they wanted to charge me €1 when I asked for ice to put in my Diet Coke!!!Ordered Kimchi and Spinach with Sesame, Kimchi was really chewy and tough, with lots of other unidentifiable vegetable leaves, never had Kimchi like this before. Wasn't good. Spinach didn't taste of sesame, apart from the few seeds sprinkled on top. Both dishes were REALLY sweet, way too much sugar. Not good. Main Salad with Fried Tofu was uninspired, cheap lettuce, grated carrot, a sprinkling of spring onions, couple of slices of cucumber and three halves of cherry tomato. Tofu was nice, really soft. But the whole thing covered in 'our special sauce' which was basically sugar again!!The Kimchi and Spinach sides were €6.50, for a small bowl. In Berlin I pay maybe €2 for a much superior Kimchi and also cheaper and MUCH better at Eat Tokyo in London. Was told to hurry ordering as kitchen would close in 10mins, ordered above quickly, then 3mins later wanted to order Saône sashimi, told 'too late'. Bill was thrown on table before I'd finished eating, they want you out fast! Summary: food not authentic and very overpriced, service not very friendly, and they want you to pay for ice in your drink! Never again will I come back and would advise others to stay away too.
It's a smaller place in the outskirts of downtown. You can enjoy very good japans food, sushi, sashimi, udon etc. We come here once in while and never got disappointed. Food Quality was always consistently great. Parking sucks though.
We came to eat something warm, our choice was wakame and tempura soba. Restaurant is small, crowded with tables but it didn't bother us.We enjoyed looking at our Japanese neighbours ordering food and we were amazed by variety of dishes restaurant was offering.Everything looked so tasty. We will definitely be back for more.It would be easier to order if we were offered English menu.Prepare to struggle through German one. Waitress was very sweet.
Compared to many other Sushi places in Isarvorstadt / Glockenbach this place meets your expectations in terms of price and quality. Try one of the menus and Sakes on offer by the bottle. You won't be disappointed!
I lived in Tokyo more than 8 years and Japanese food have been always my favorite. I didn't expect anything special but the food we tried was totally unacceptable. We are 3 and I ordered some typical dishes. Sushi: was ok though the rice was not real sushi rice.揚げ出し豆腐(fried tofu) : tofu is hard and not warm, with kind of thick source. Tasteless 焼き肉: kind of fried meat with bbq source on top of some vegetables. Chinese?焼き鳥: don't know how to describe it but you can not call it yakitori!Rice: perhaps cheapest rice you can find or it was yesterday rice? It was half cold.We also had miso soup and another fish dish which were ok. The meal costed 90 euro.I was very surprised to see so many good reviews. I am not a review writing person but the experience was too disappointing that I can not keep quite:(Hope we were just unlucky.
