During a visit to Munich in December '18 we were in a hotel near this restaurant in pasing. the restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff. it is certainly a local hang-out as it regular customers we saw during our stay....The service is not great, but eating and the drinks more that compensate for the slow service. when it comes to traditional German cuisine, this restaurant should not be missing. the goulash suppe is a winner!
We only lived one night in pasing and were looking for traditional German food and this seemed the only place in the immediate environment that offers schinitzel. the place was quite calm when we arrived and the waitress did not speak. much English, which was good in a wise way, as allowed us to try to speak something German. the food took a while to come, but the carving was excellent. I ordered a side of garden vegetables and the part was very large, how was the side part of the chips my daughter had. we found the waitress helpful how best they can be when they speak another language, and the place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. we would go back for some time.
After I had just checked into my hotel, I felt that I had to eat in a local restaurant to eat German cuisine. about two blocks from my hotel was Bavarian carving house my choice. I ordered carvings and pommes with a chopper pschorr bright beer....The meal was delicious and the beer complicated the dish. in order to owe the lilly, I had apfelstrudel with ice. overall a good first meal to start my oktoberfest holiday.
For anyone wishing to have fresh, tasty, local food...as well as friendly, attentive service, then give downtown Munich a miss and go to Pasing in the western suburbs of Munich. You can take tram-line 19 from downtown Munich and get off at Pasing Townhall. This...excellent is almost opposite the tram-stop. Great chicken meals, and really tasty steaks are some of the specialities on the menu. And the cinnamon-coated apple rings round off any of the meals you choose. Definitely should be on your bucket-list and I promise you, you won't regret the visit...I go there at least once a week! And for great shopping before or after, Pasing's new and recommendable shopping mall is just across the road from this Restaurant. By the way, there's a beer garden in the backyard...
