Kiwanis Salmon Barbeque - Mount Vernon

This park has seen significant improvements compared to its past state. There are new play structures and a variety of playgrounds to choose from, making it a great spot for kids to play or for taking dogs for a walk. The only reason I deducted a star is that it’s not uncommon to encounter some sketchy individuals or teenagers loitering in the parking lot, which can be bothersome since the park is somewhat secluded by trees. While I don't feel unsafe there, I would prefer if my toddler didn't have to play just 10 feet away from cigarette smoke from teenagers.

As someone who has experienced homelessness, I want to highlight that this park offers power outlets in a covered area accessible to the public. It’s a clean and pleasant place to visit, so please consider supporting this positive environment rather than adding to the pollution of our beautiful surroundings. The park itself is expansive and makes for a wonderful family outing.

This expansive and stunning park offers a variety of spaces for different activities. You'll find both wooded sections with a few small trails and open fields that are perfect for a picnic. The park also features rental facilities, with the lodge being the biggest and most appealing option. It's essentially a spacious log cabin that includes a charming garden seating area.

Went to Skagit Valley for the Tulip Festival and enjoyed the annual Kiwanis Barbecue Salmon Fundraiser. A delicious dinner included baked potato, coleslaw, garlic bread, lemonade or coffee. The volunteers also offered a great customer service! They also had a dog-friendly terrace.

Beautiful park! I love the trees and the activities that they have every once in a while like the salmon Barbecue in April! That Salmon Barbecue is very tasty
