Long Point Grille - Mount Nebo

The interior has a charming vibe, with lots of bright wood and a lovely deck for nicer weather. The menu features a variety of fried appetizers, including Jalapeño Poppers, which is when I discovered Heather’s love for them. They also offer a selection of sandwiches, salads, and different types of pizzas and calzones—plus, you can turn any pizza into a calzone! Heather ordered the Jalapeño Poppers, which might have actually changed her life. Instead of cream cheese, they were filled with cheddar cheese, and the jalapeños were chopped rather than served whole. She kindly let me try one, and they were quite tasty. For my meal, I chose a calzone filled with crispy chicken (I spotted this option on one of the pizzas) and mushrooms. You can also customize one of their pizzas to be a calzone, which is what Heather did with the Greek pizza, featuring a balsamic glaze (as you can see in the photo above). I couldn’t resist adding a side of mac and cheese, of course. My calzone was fantastic—large, perfectly light and crunchy on the outside, and hot and fresh on the inside. It was packed with delicious pieces of chicken and mushrooms, and I asked for a side of marinara dipping sauce that complemented everything perfectly. The mac and cheese was a comforting classic; I wouldn’t say a word against it.
