Contribuiți la feedbackI had thought about visiting one of them, but tonight it happened. Welcome and the restaurant was busy. Wait a minute while they left a table free that was just released. the fried cauliflower was unexpected to start, but the suppe was excellent. the garnel and fish ordered with chocolate sauce and asked for it to be medium spicy. the food arrived quickly and was as spicy as I expected, and simply presented with salad and rice. finished with a mango mousse that was good and not too sweet. could make a return visit to try the other sauces.
We've been a few times last year at a visit to montreal. here is my review : food: some are great, but most dishes are only average. some items are not typical Mauritian dishes or are not served as they are presented in the rule in. mauritius for example the free dhal at the beginning as suppe! service: average. there are potentials there if they want their game high. atmosphere: not much. I find native like the byob! space: it is a rather small resto with limited seating and quite tightly decorated tables. No one in the restaurant. paid parking is available in the immediate environment. cleanliness: good. the face of the rest will benefit from a fast clean. no bad experience, but there are better possibilities.
Visited the restaurant some paints. the menu is the same, since a few years out of price went high. Eating is neither great nor bad, it's just good. I recommend the suppe as a deer. it was the only thing that got the real mauritian culinary taste. but pay attention to the prices!
We have been to this restaurant three times and we plan to go back again. I always order the fried Chinese noodles with Chinese sausage and it is delicious!
You have the option to customize your meal by choosing from a variety of meats and seafood paired with different sauces. Most dishes are served with a unique and delicious cabbage appetizer. The soup is also a highlight and is included in the meal. While additional appetizers are available, the generous portion sizes may make them unnecessary. The food tends to be fried and heavy, so it may not be the best choice for those on a diet. However, the coconut shrimp is particularly exceptional. The attentive staff strike a good balance and are not overwhelming. The restaurant's exterior may not be remarkable, and the decor is not particularly inviting or modern, though it has improved over time. The price range is affordable, with appetizers ranging from $3 to $4, mains from $11 to $14, and desserts at $3.50.
