This place used to be unbeatable in the 80s and in the early to mid 90s with my favorite memories of it. Some time after that time period it goes down hill. At its worst right now. Mainly the male employees have no customer relation skills once they mess something up. I order a small pizza and its a different size when I get there. Then they refuse to let me have the pizza unless I pay the price for the wrong size that they made. On top of that its a 2 topping pizza and its missing one of toppings. Start cutting their losses and paying for their own mistakes instead of the customers paying for them. Then maybe when mistakes start to effect the bottom line they will improve. I do not want to over kill their short fall in service lately because the pizza is not bad when its right. Also back in the day the toppings were cooked much better. What separated them from other people were the chunks of toppings. If you ordered mushrooms then their was an entire mushroom cut in half and on the pizza until it filled the space. The chunky well cooked toppings was their catch on top of a good unique dough and sauce. Sometimes you get lucky and its really good when you pick up an order even still today. Prices are of course at an all time high. I suggest you try for yourself. Sometimes I can not believe I paid for it and other times really glad I did.
I went to Tech in the early 1980's and as my college budget afforded, I ate calzones at Frank's Pizza. So big, I shared with friends most of the time. I've never had anything else there as those calzones, with that gooey cheese, perfect sauce and that amazing thin, crispy crust keep me happy. I moved out of state after graduating, but when I'm in Fayetteville to visit family, I try to make a trip to Frank's for a calzone. They are just as amazing now as they were then. I wouldn't care if the owner beat his dog in the place- those calzones are worth it.
The food is alright most of the time. Megan Filiaggi and Chad Vickers cook wonderfully though. But the boss John Marshall with the dark hair he is very rude. He is not polite to the customers and has no respect for his employees. He is constantly yelling at one of his workers because she is disabled, he should be taken to court for discrimination and unfair/unequal treatment towards his employees.
Franks pizza in Montgomery WV is the best pizza in the world
