Lucky Dragon - Minneapolis

The staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and helped us navigate the vegan menu. Our favorite dishes were the imperial spicy with mock duck and the fried tofu appetizer. We paid $33 before tip for two people, and had enough leftovers for another full meal.

I would rate this non-vegan restaurant 10 stars if I could, but I have to give it four stars on HappyCow. It is still the best in the city. I may usually be dining at a five-star vegan restaurant, but I can't stop thinking about Lucky Dragon's tofu appetizer. The mock duck potato and tofu chow fun dish could easily earn this place a Michelin star on its own! If you visit, tell Louann that Kale sent you and she can suggest other dishes that my sister and I have been enjoying for the past decade. Praise the dragon. Stay lucky, my friends.

They definitely pile on the veggie here and that’s a nice change of pace for places that skimp on them in their dishes.

I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant. I would suggest trying something different instead of the usual dishes at Americanized Chinese restaurants, as some negative reviews seem to focus on items like sweet and sour chicken or cream cheese wontons. It's unfortunate that these dishes are always expected at Chinese restaurants. This place feels very cozy to me, with very few sit-down customers, making it a nice quiet spot to enjoy tea and a meal with a friend. They also offer vegan options, just ask the server for more information.
