Al Miga - Milano

We were here for a weekend and needed a restaurant that was casual but would also fill our risotto fix. Booked through tripadivsor for a reservation and got 30% off the bill. Had two bottles of wine, the beet risotto, saffron risotto, and two other types of pasta. ALBERA WAS THE BEST!!!! She accommodated us exceptionally and helped us with ordering in Italian, and had the best suggestions!! We loved it.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The dessert was delicious (I highly recommend it). Dishes: Black cubs of cuttlefish with scorpion on culis of peppers and Milanese steak with potatoes saute and majoosene aromatizata at the shallot. Dessert: Strawberry Millefoglie

We happened upon this restaurant because we were looking for a place not to far from our hotel close to the central station. The interior has a hip rustic chic and the background music was very nice and subtle. All other occupants were Italian so it seems to be a place that the locals like to frequent, too. We got a table without problems and our waitress was great! She took the time to answer our questions, recommended the best dishes and a very good wine and was not only nice but also fun and easygoing even with the language barrier English/ Italian! The food was very good for very reasonable prices. The menu is not very extensive, but better ten very good dishes than having to choose between 50 mediocre dishes! ; The food is typical Italian, we ate our way through homemade potato chips with dip which come as an appetizer, we even got a slice of pizza as an amuse gueule. We tried our way through risotto, pasta, meat and pulpo and it was all very well made. The only downside was, that it was far more than we were able to eat, so we had to leave some leftovers on the plates! All in all we really had a very nice evening thank you for a great holiday memory!

Tried salmon on beetroot sauce, good enough but a little bit difficult to eat.Only negative point was the sand in the pasta pappardelle with saffron pistils and clams. Relaxed atmosphere, kind staff, pleasant music, very good tiramisù!I'd like to return and try something else.
