Nice place. Great Food. Family owned. Looks old n dated, but food was authentic. Great Prices.

Gourmet House is my family’s favorite Chinese Restaurant in Michigan City. I’ve never had an issue, the food is delicious and I’ve only had wonderful service.

I ordered Ma Po tofu. It's supposed to be with a spicy brown sauce. It came with almost no sauce and it was light colored and very bland. This place is trying to cut corners and fail.

Best Chinese food in the area, friendly family that owns it are always a delight to deal with; interior is rather festively Chinese themed in aesthetically pleasing ways. Kid-friendliness: Family owned business, very family oriented atmosphere in general.
