Steve's Pizza West - Miami-Dade County

We had a great experience at Steve’s! Our waitress, Sophia, was very attentive! Would go again.

I really wanted a meatball grinder, sub to others, I noticed this pizza place, and I was in luck it had a Greek appearing menu. The meatballs were okay and definitely not frozen, I feel like they were homemade but didn't seem baked. They seemed steamed. They were tasty, but I'm partial to this place in Western Massachusetts, but seriously, I would return again. I'm not sure why there was no sauce on it and will definitely ask for that the next time. I ordered the whole grinder, sub, and I'm glad I did so that I could take the other half home with me for my supper last night. I'm glad I asked for peppers and onions because it would have been a bit plain without them. The waitress brought cheese and pepper flakes and offered oregano and possibly one other shake on as well. My coffee was delicious, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was calm and looked like it had never been updated since opening, and I loved that. The prices for the subs were very good, but other prices were a bit higher than I would have expected. The restaurant was very clean and the restroom was also very clean. I would definitely go again sometime and I would suggest you try it. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Something amazing just happened which compelled me to write this review. I came in to get two slices and a coke. As you come in the dining is clean and welcoming, smells clean and the noise level is perfect. I was greeted from behind the counter the moment I walked in. My order was placed and as I stood to the side to give way for the next patron, I was greeted again by a gentleman who asked if I like water as he proceeded to fill a cup of water with ice and grab a straw, he said please take a seat. I mentioned oh I’m just waiting, to which he said I know, please sit have water. This is by far the best experience I have ever had anywhere. Think about the interaction, the thought, the offering of water, the kindness. Relax you are done with work now it’s time to enjoy your meal. That is what the experience made me feel. Such a wonderful feeling. But let’s not forget their pizza is fire!

We’ve been coming here for years both dined in and take out. Really good local pizza. We usually get either cheese or pepperoni. The decor is nothing fancy, actually kinda bland. They could use a little sprucing up making the place feel more inviting.
