Emerils of Miami Beach, located in the lobby of the Loews hotel, captures both the essence of Emeril and the essence of a fine dining experience. The decor was grand, polished, and posh with an inviting and comforting feel, reminiscent of a ballroom in an old southern plantation, yet modernized and chic. I had ordered the tasting menu, and was surprisingly full by the time desert arrived. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The menu combined common southern dishes with wild cards of unconventional flavors that keeps your taste buds awakened and awaiting the next dish. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The cut was not Peter Lugars, but the grilled flavors and juices worked. The fourth course was a black bass, again cooked to perfection. The fish meat fell apart and melted in the mouth. My only complaint was the smoked duck, which I felt was very heavy, and overpowered with the smokey flavor. Please note that this is biased, since I am not a fan of smoked poultry. Finally, for dessert I ordered the strawberry guava cheesecake. Delicious, but I would not compare this to a typical cheese cake. It was fantastic as a dessert. Again, this could be due to my bias to Juniors. Service was attentive and hospitable. Great wine list. And for a fine dining establishment, our bill came out to about 80 dollars per person, including wine. Quite reasonable.
Very loud, had to beg for bread and butter. Waited over an hour for dinner to be served. Water glasses never filled it. Was just a real bad night. There are many better steak houses in Miami.
This place is sooooo fabulous...Have dinned here 3 times, and I'm counting down the minutes till I go again...The service is fantastic (I recommend making reservations), and the menu varies often...The food is delicious...Their jazz brunch is soooo great...The menu offers a variety of foods (not only breakfast items) and the service is beyond fabulous...Example: I asked where the restroom was and someone took me, opened the door for me, waited for me, and walked me back to my table...Amazing!!!! Someone is always watching over your table to make sure you have everything you need...Chocolate souffle is to die for!!!!! Prices are a little high, but nothing crazy...I love this place...its fabulous!!!
We shared a combination of surf and turf combination, the best steak that I have had in Miami. The service was equal vent to that of New York. Make reservations early.
