Parlons Cafe - Metairie

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

I remember a group of four individuals, one of whom called ahead to request coq au vin and French onion soup. When they arrived late, they mentioned they weren't hungry and brought their own bottle of wine. They had already eaten hors d'oeuvres at a reception and weren't pleased with the suggested set menu. They barely touched their food, leaving behind the boxed up entree. They finished their wine but only partially paid their bill. If they fell ill, it was likely from the hors d'oeuvres they had eaten earlier.

Parlons Cafe offers a unique dining experience, focusing on creating an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a typical French family home. The menu features traditional French home-cooked dishes, rather than fine dining options. The small and dedicated staff ensures that the food is always fresh and straightforward. You won't find expensive wines on the menu, but instead, enjoy a selection of good table wines similar to what a French family would serve at their own meals.

I pass by this place everyday. It has always looked closed with covered windows and non-inviting. What goes on in there?

This isn’t even a real restaurant or is it?????? Never “open” as its reservations only. What the heck????
