Casablanca - Metairie

The meal was fantastic! The couscous was the best I've had in the U.S. The service was welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.

The restaurant has a delightful atmosphere and offers dairy-free kosher options. The appetizer platter was generous enough to share with a group of four and was so filling that I had to take most of my entree home for lunch later in the week. I especially enjoyed the Moroccan cigars.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and offers an intriguing menu. We tried two different soups to start, which were both flavorful but could have used a bit more seasoning. The salads were crisp and tasty. As for the main courses, the lamb was a bit underwhelming and the moussaka could have used more seasoning as well. In general, the meal was decent but not outstanding.

Food was very good, great selection and great service

My rating is for a previous visit. I wish I could tell you how good Casablanca was this time. Unfortunately, Open Table allowed me to book a reservation here on Easter Sunday, and after getting my elderly in-laws into the car and to the restaurant, we discovered as soon as driving up that Casablanca was closed. This left us scrambling to find a table for 5 on one of the busiest dining days of the year. I'm not certain, but I don't believe the restaurant was responsible. I contacted Open Table by email the day this happened, and more than a month later haven't gotten an explanation yet. I haven't made a reservation through Open Table since, because I can't any longer trust the service.
