Quilchena Hotel - Merritt

We dined with two other couples at this restaurant. The waffles were not fluffy and light at all. The eggs Benedict were overcooked. Overall, we were satisfied but felt that the quality of the food did not justify the high prices. We were hoping for more variety and better quality.

We enjoyed a Mother's Day brunch with friends at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, with a good variety of options including breakfast items, fruit, salads, pastries, and desserts. The coffee was also very good. The quality of the food was top-notch. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a refreshing change from typical brunch spots. The location in the hills by the lake was also great.

Yes, I mean a real bar from the old days and sports an authentic bull hole in the bar. The Quilchina Lodge or Hotel offers rooms and meals during the summer or tourist season months. The Oldtimer hotel still carries the decor, the floor plans, and...that timeless photos, framed that speak with its history, the bar and restaurant is open to the public and its guests. We drove out from Kamloops and enjoyed a Red Cook lunch, local craftsmanship and a wonderful walk through the grounds. It's worth a ride.

This quaint hotel and restaurant is a beautiful throw back to a much more simple time. The building and antiques are great, the little bar is homey and there is a little golf course near by.
