The Posh Bagel - Menlo Park

When I entered the restaurant, the owner refused to serve me because of the color of my skin. I felt hurt as I tried to communicate and understand why I was being denied service, but I was accused of appearing angry simply because I am black. It is absurd that in this day and age of 2023, I was not allowed to purchase a cup of coffee without the fear of the police being called on me. A white person would not face the same discrimination and would be able to buy coffee without any issue, regardless of their emotions.

It is not recommended to visit this restaurant if you are Black, unless you are dressed in a suit and tie. In that case, they will treat you as a human being. If you are dressed casually, they may assume you are trying to rob them. It raises the question of why we should continue to give them our business.

Stopped in for bagels and coffee before dropping off our son at college. The place is super clean, food and drinks were delicious, and the man behind the counter was nice. He even offered us a sample of their tasty Vietnamese iced coffee. The lady helping was a bit rude but dealt with her minimally. I am definitely going back for the bagels and the Vietnamese Iced coffee!

Plenty of seating area and quick service. Not to mention well made tapioca for bubble tea

I wished there were more vegetables on my bagel sandwich. Please add more sprouts. The Bobby teas were unpleasantly artificial-tasting.
