Thunderbird Cafe - McGaheysville

My wife and I are currently eating here now and despite the busy times and longer wait, this food made it more than worth it. Our waitress was phenomenal and the food was some of the best we have ever ate. We will continue to come back here on our stay in VA

We went here during New Year’s vacation for brunch to kill some time between checking out at Massanutten and snow tubing. There was a little wait, but we were a party of 5 and the food was absolutely worth waiting for! Jackie was our server and she was so sweet and attentive. We ordered an array of food; chocolate chip pancakes, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, etc. The food came out fast and so good! You could tell that everything was homemade down to the biscuits and toast. Would highly recommend and come back the next time we come up the mountain!!

It was really crowded and loud in there but they had some really interesting things on the menu which were very good. Service was wonderful they kept up with the amount of people in there.

Perfect diner experience. Food was excellent. Coffee was on point! We had to wait for a table (6 ppl in our party) but it didn 't feel like we waited long. Pancake taco (peppermint chocolate) was unique and amazing. Not too filling. Rancheros bowl with over easy egg was delicious. Portions were perfect and not overwhelming. Our server was sweet, knowledgeable and efficient. Food came out timely. Bathrooms were clean and stocked for how busy they were. Very enjoyable experience! Locals are so lucky to have this place in their community.
