I hate to admit it, but this Gringo/Ginga was looking for a change of tempos after a month of local food. Chinese was a perfect step change. we have eaten there twice a week for the last two weeks, tried several dishes. including chickens and meat chow my, the cantonese chicken and the chicken verdura (no.) all the dishes were incredible and the prices are incredibly good. they get a large plate of fresh meat and sweet stir fried and then served with a bowl rice, either fried or simply steamed (that's my favorite) a derée is just about 60 pesos including the rice that is a little less than $5 usd at the current exchange rate, so the prices are great! the servings are so great that we did in the (an adult man and an adult woman) a dish for dinner every night and if we had an additional rice that was another 10 pesos, a total bargain. my fave was the cantonese chicken that had a little thin slice of chilis and a beautiful little kick I loved. the family that owns the place and operates it leads a wonderful, friendly and clean business. they didn't speak much English, but the menu is clear and easy to understand and we just directed on photos of that we wanted and held finger to clarify. the menu has photos of each element makes it easy to see what they get the restaurant located on serdan, about 3 blocks north of the mercado in direction malecon and only far enough of the mass of the Centro area. can't wait to come back!
I hate to admit it, but this gringo/gringa was looking for a change of pace after a month of local food. Chinese was a perfect change of pace. An entrée is only about 60 pesos including the rice which at the current exchange rate is something less than $5 USD so the prices are great!
