Le Moulinou - Masclat

Just to let everyone know they are opening again for the season 28th June 2019 Friday....so make a booking...going to be very popular as always....

A totally unique experience recommended to us by the owner of the gite where we stayed. An experience we won’t forget but for all the right reasons. At 15 euros each for dinner, wine and aperitif it was good vfm. Food was simple and the trout fresh and delicious. It was full with mostly locals when we visited, obviously popular. Great for children who were entertained by the wildlife on the lake which was fenced in. Wasn’t keen on the caged birds which are close to diners.

Had read about this place so wanted to try for ourselves, didn't disappoint, food and service excellent, my 7 year old loved exploring all around the lake but at the same time we could relax because we could see her at all times, 15 euros each including wine, best trout we have ever tasted, glad it's off the beaten track so not ruined by too many tourist, real taste of rural French countryside, lovely family owners.

A different restaurant to any other we have been to but a must to visit previous reviewers have said all you need to know .The restaurant was full by 7.30 So a good idea to book as you don't want to miss out

Cuisine "comme dans le temps" à la campagne.La soupe classique, bouillon et pain trempé. Les saveurs d'enfance qui remontent à la surfaceAu bord d'un petit étang dont on peut faire le tour pour digérer.Un brin désuet mais quel régal
