La Piccola Lanterna - MARTINA FRANCA

So good! Will basically make the pizza any way you want it! Small place but very cosy. Service was amazing, fast and friendly.

Having lived in Italy for 6 years both in the north and in the south, this pizzeria is absolutely one of my favourites and should be visited by anyone visiting Martina Franca who is looking for a good taste of South Italy. In addition to the high quality ingredients, the perfectly cooked thin crust, and the hospitality and cleanliness of the staff, the variety of pizza selection is quite impressive offering many unique flavours combinations that are not found in your average pizzeria. My favourite is La Tartufata (rucola, sausage and puree of tartufo)

I'm lucky enough to have tried the best pizza in Naples and to live near Santa Maria, the best Pizzeria in London and I absolutely loved this place. Fantastic pizzas served on plastic plates with plastic cutlery, it lets the food do the talking. Good, honest and incredibly tasty Pizza. The best I've had outside of Naples over 5 trips to Italy.

This place is just lovely. The pizzas are the freshest and crispiest in Martina Franca. The experience was made better by the fact that the tiny restaurant is managed by two of the nicest men. Eugenio and Alessandro were so friendly to our family. They explained in English and were warm and chatty. They gave our children a 'gift ' of a Nutella pizza which went down very well. The only 'problem ' was that our son then didn 't want to eat anywhere else but here so we had to go back! A true gem. Authentic Italian pizza and fantastic service. It 's mainly for takeaways but I recommend securing one of the two tables and enjoying the excellent hospitality of Eugenio and Alessandro!
