The food here is arguably the best in Shreveport if you're looking for Cajun food. As good as the food is, it was not as good as the service. Ryan, TJ and Chris take their roles seriously to give anybody that walks through the front door the best possible experience. From the outside this place looks like an unassuming gas station, but it's a place where people gather to eat good food, build community and receive the best service in Shreveport.

This place is amazing! The staff was super friendly and the music was great. Not only was it an awesome atmosphere, but the food was delicious. The best meal I've had so far while visiting Shreveport for work.

Was recently in Shreveport for one day and craving catfish...because we all know Louisiana has some of the best seafood restaurants in the US. Ran across this gem on Google and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. Food and service were outstanding. Had the fish basket, shrimp basket and red beans and rice. The baskets were overflowing. Nice crisp perfectly seasoned catfish strips. Shrimp were small but they give you so many, it far makes up for the size. The red beans and rice had great flavor. Price was fair and service was top-notch. Everyone was super friendly and helpful...look forward to stopping by again and trying some different dishes when traveling through the area.

On the way back to Mississippi from Ft. Worth we searched for a place to have lunch off the beaten path and found Marilynn’s Place and read reviews so we decided to give it a try, so glad we did now it will be a permanent stop when traveling through Shreveport the food was awesome and more than you can eat, service was great if you are going through Louisiana you need to try this place. The owner was very attentive to our needs and we truly felt at home.

Marilyn's offers tremendous bang for the buck in a laid back, down home environment. The service has always been stellar and ilthe poboys cannot be beat! Whether you are passing through the city or are a resident, don't miss out on this terrific place.
