Auberge du Colvert - Mareuil-Caubert

Went for dinner on Good Friday evening at opening time - 19.00 .I had visited previously and made a booking for a family party of 4 adults and 3 small children with the help of a very helpful lady who however spoke no English. Some knowledge of French would be essential.We were allocated a large round table in the spacious traditional restaurant.Good menu choice with a fine children's menu. Good wine list.Food and service was excellent.

Cuisine which combines imaginative cooking with French traditional dishes. Taste, presentation, service - all top class. Also serves Belgian beer. I understand there is a B&B nearby

We spent a week travelling through France and we had the most delicious meal of our visit in this unpretentious and charming auberge. We were made very welcome (including our dog). Every course of our meal was exceptional and the ambience was warm and friendly. I cannot praise it highly enough.

With temperatures barely above freezing the large log fire in the centre of the restaurant was so welcoming. But more importantly they were happy for our dog to snuggle down under the table whilst we enjoyed some good homely french cooking and a very nice bottle of local red.

Un accueil parfait, un personnel très souriant, un service sans fausse note, une très grande amabilité, des plats très succulents et très bien présentés, conséquence, on y revient sans aucun problèmes, une suggestion s'il vous plaît serait de rafraîchir la place pour l'emplacement handicapé, mais soyez assuré que nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir
