The Patatas tasted of old fish oil, the artichokes were ruined the fish salad was inedible as were the lamb chops. The owner tried to say it was us that was...the problem and gave us the full bill. We had to refuse to pay before he removed two mains from the bill. We still spent over Euros on water padron peppers and artichokes. I would strongly warn you from eating in this this place.
My wife and I have been here many times before and during COVID. It was great to be back and to see it (and Marbella Old town)much busier than Sadly both food and service not as good as before. Still good value and we...will go back fingers crossed…..
We are owners of an apartment in Marbella and have been coming here for over years, so we have experience of many restaurants, bars and bistros in the area. This was really disappointing, overpriced and not one we could recommend to anyone. The red...wine was the smallest amount we have experienced and the cerveza expensive for where we were. I chose Rabo de Toro, and my partner tomato salad, both very below expectations and poor. To give praise, the waiter was helpful and provided good service.
My mother and I stumbled across this hidden gem. The owner was so charming and polite we were instantly attracted to sitting in his restaurant. It was nice as crisp outside and he placed a lovely fire heater next to us. The artichoke ‘tapa’ was...the best I’ve ever eaten. A lovely selection of fino too! Inside is very sweet and cosy. It is a traditional looking Spanish gem! I will celebrate my there this month and looking forward to it very much!
Couldn’t wait to get back to El Alberó. June trip cancelled, so fab to get back Sept. Tomato salad to die for, Padron peppers and ham were just perfect and pork cheeks cooked to perfection.... all washed down with a Rioja from Paco... thank you....We will be back before heading home.
