Le Petit Marais - Marans

Hi all , we went there for a lunch time meal . Beautiful sunny day , nice and warm , what could possibly go wrong . No service for 20 minutes then the waitress turned up at our table after saying i will be with you soon . Well , we can't describe the food or the drinks as we were told to leave as the restaurant was full , although we were at a table . Not allowed a drink , just told to leave . Disgraceful behaviour , avoid at all costs . We did notice that two french people sat down and were served ! Interesting. Won't we returning.

We had a lovely meal here. Food was gorgeous. My mom and and Dad had lamb chops and they are both a bit picky but they loved them along with the Tarte tatin . I had cod fish cakes and salad and my husband had the veal stew. Apple tart and Cafe Gourmand. The service was exceptional especially considering my limited French. Very friendly and hospitable hosts. Thank you

Delicious food and fabulous pichet of Rose. Thank you for our last lunch in France. Just down from this restaurant there were electric and motor boats to hire out. Very helpful and friendly.

An incredible bar, an incredible atmosphere, it's the best marans bar I've been in!
