This restaurant was a surprise discovery for me. Of course, its been quite well known and popular in Mannargudi, and yet it never occurred to me to go there so far. And was I surprised! Traditional small town house, spartan, simple, and yet neat, clean, well organized. Onion thogayal, vegetables rich sambar, mor kuzhambu, rasam, two poriyals, one koottu, appalam, curd, butter milk, and to top it all, payasam! On fresh banana leaf! Best part? All these for, hold your breath, just 60 rupees! This is a daily lunch spread! They also have wide variety of mixed rices, and as I hear, many, many breakfast and dinner items! Must visit place, when here. 100% vegetarian restaurant.
