Very good pub once part of long gone threllfall brewery. I worked near cambridge st and had my departure doing here almost exactly 40 years ago. beautiful pub and very popular with students. good pint of the house beer.

Good old pub and the beer has improved for many years. sometimes it can be difficult to find a seat. also has decking out through the, at this point, tiny river medlock. I had a lot of fun on Thursday, but could be a bit biased because my team won.

Dog friendly. Great bar just off of the Canal Street area, really good tunes playing and a great selection of drinks. Small out door area too, something for everything. Will be back to try the pies and scotch eggs for sure.

Good beer, nice place, just a bit disappointed by the food. Maybe I didn't choose the right one...

Absolute delight! Had a lunch deal with a sandwich drink for 8 pounds 2 if you prefer beer 2.5 if you crave a side of potato) and my husband had a delicious pie. Fish in my sandwich was juicy and crispy, pie was amazing as well. Let alone the beer and the atmosphere of the proper English pub. Definitely recommend.
