Come Together - Funchal

I can safely say this was one of the best meals I've ever had. The staff were impeccable and very helpful. The atmosphere was top notch and when Mary and Eduardo started singing it was incredible. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Funchal

This has got to be one of the top places to eat in Madeira. We came here twice last year and had to come back this year. Food is top class and the owner Eduardo is always welcoming. The staff are all very friendly and can't do enough for you. All in all an excellent place to eat. Would highly recommend.

Strolling by one Saturday evening, we were persuaded to try this restaurant by a charming lady out the front. She offered excellent food and live music. And she did not promise too much! The restaurant is quite small, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and you have a scenic view from most tables. Outside in the corner of the balcony you can also watch some dishes being flambéed. Eduardo, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming, as are all members of the staff. The services offered by three discrete and friendly waiters a Portuguese, a Venezuelan and a Ukrainian were absolutely great. My personal dinner recommendations: I had steak flambéed in brandy and my wife Gabi had steak on a hot stone. Both were so good that we booked to come again a few days later. Finally we went there for a third dinner on the last night before our departure. We also truly enjoyed the musical entertainment. Mary (from Scotland has a lovely voice and Eduardo plays the accompanying music, ranging from Abba to The Beatles (is that perhaps the reason for the name “Come Together”??? with lots of feeling and compassion. We rated the food as being the best out of all the restaurants we visited over our two week vacation and when we’ll be back on Madeira in November this year, we’ll bring our friends from Denmark along. Thank you for the nice and unforgettable evenings, Eduardo Mary, we can’t wait to see you again.

From the meal to the service is top quality. The owners and staff go out their way to make you feel very welcome and part of the family. The food is the best on offer in Funchal and is a must and not to be missed. The entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings is by the hosts themselves. Eduardo supplies the music and Mary sings, again first class act. Hope to be able to revisit in the future.
