O Piquinho Restaurante & Churrascaria

Today, we did 21 km (from Funchal to the restaurant) and when we got there the restaurant was closed. There was no announcement on google or TripAdvisor that it was closed (in fact, it was marked as "open now") . This is a major irresponsibly that totally misleads people.

Na abertura deste restaurante a comida até era agradável mas tem vindo a diminuir a qualidade. Não gostei

Fui comer ao restaurante piquinho e comexando pelo servico de pecima qualidade pedi uma espetada e uma dpse de milho parecia contado os pedacinhos de milho 12 pedacinhos de milho 3 euros,acho uma pena enorme aquele belicimo espaco estar tao mal aproveitado,tem tudo para ser o melhor restaurante da freguesia ... Desiluzao total.....

Our curiosity made us climb this hill, and when we got to the top, we were amazed to find this great restaurant, with very few people in it, open on boxing day (26th December). We immediately called our friends to join us. For a very reasonable price, we gorged ourselves on delicious meat, served with panache, for the next few hours, while enjoying the great view. A fabulous find. I'm only worried that the hill isn't big enough to justify the amount of food we ate!

Trevlig miljö och fantastisk utsikt över byn och havet mellan bergen. Enkelt portugisiskt kök med fisk och kött som då saknar egentlig kryddning bortsett från salt och vitlök. Men som sagt, miljö och läge är kanon, nyrenoverat skulle man gissa. Trevlig personal och vettiga priser.
