Gio's Cucina Casalinga - Maastricht

Very overrated! Staff is arrogant understatement and food is mediocre. Far ! better Italian restaurant on the other side of the river in Wyck! We 've tried this place twice to give it another chance , but cannot discover its reputation . The formula of leaving your phone number and wait to be invited to dine, should say enough: arrogance all over. Which is not founded by the food you will be served: that is OK to GOOD but definitely NOT outstanding . The fact that ruins the experience is the lack of decent service; FOOD 3,5 Service 1. Definitely NOT recommended again: cross the bridge to the Rechtstraat for the real Italian restaurants... Yes: more than one...!

Very very good restaurant. Simple but satisfying menu. This restaurant belongs to the best Italian restaurants in the world.

Been here several times--one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere (including Italy). Limited menu (usually you get to pick one of two pastas and one of fish, beef, or lamb) but it is so fresh and so good. Worth the trip to Maastricht if you're close!
