Yuyo Japanese - Lubbock

Went to try for the first time since lots had been posting them... well not the best experience. We sat down at 6pm, yes one server but we waited almost two hours, no drink refills, no silverware, no appetizers, all while people who showed up almost 2 hours after us got some of their food right away. Ridiculous to say the least then they wanted to box up our appetizers that never came. We offered to pay drinks but the server wanted to charge for stuff we didn 't even get. I would definitely like to try it in a better scenario in the future but not anytime soon! Owner apologized but you can 't apologize for bad service.

No clue why this place isn't packed full nightly! INCREDIBLE food and the service is on point and consistent. I personally vouche for this amazing restaurant. Every single thing I've tried here is DELICIOUS....A true Lubbock gem

Food quality seems to have gone downhill unfortunately. This has always been my go to place. But the most recent visit disappointed. Calamari was bland, noodles were basic.

I had higher hopes for the sushi we ordered but unfortunately was let down. The websites need to be more clear on what items you’re receiving. Sushi for two I thought meant the fish on top of a bed of rice. Instead it’s just cheap simple hand rolls. I received 2 pieces of Salmon, and 2 of Tuna on a bed rice that barely had a piece of on fish. The thinnest slice you can get. I’ve never ordered sushi from here, but now I won’t be coming back. Paid almost $100 for 3 simple items.

This spot is a hidden gem. DELICIOUS house salad, General Tzo's chicken, ramen, and super white tuna sushi. Great spot for lunch or dinner. Very efficient with take-out orders.
