Love this place my first time eat here. Good beef pho ! Beef is tender and taste really good I would come back for another pho. My aunt had tofu something I forgot but they looks really good too will take pictures next time ! But pho!!! Good for fall and winter makes your body warm and very good soup and hot (spicy and soup temperature)! Love hot temperature more than just warm soup. I'm from Japan so I'm picky about how they serve noodle soup ! recommend mix noodle and Wait little bit if you can't eat hot temperatures soup.
I have always had a great experience eating or ordering from Burapa Thai in Lovettsville. Yet, today not sure what has happened with the customer service provided. My husband and I ordered our typical meal we always get when we get meals from Burapa Thai. When my husband arrived home with our meal we noticed we received 2 of our orders incorrectly. This is not really a big issue and can be corrected easily. What really shocked us was the customer service received from the lady taking the order and that was on the phone when o called to make them away of the error in the order. The lady was very rude and defensive instead of politely offering to correct the order which is what we really were after, we weren’t looking for an argument. We even agreed to keep one of the incorrect orders. Even though the lady made it seemed as if that’s what we ordered stating that she even repeated the order and my husband agreed which she didn’t. The other order was incorrect in that instead of fried rice with no egg. We received white rice instead. Something simple and could be easily corrected without the rudeness. The lady decided to say that the fried rice was already prepared and had egg in it and that they don’t make it without the egg. I responded that I always ordered the fried rice that way without egg and have never had an issue in the past. I responded that if anything we should have been informed if it was going to be changed. She stated that she had mentioned it when we placed the order, which in fact she didn’t. She finally offered to make us fried rice without egg and we agreed to keep the other order. What really prompted me to write this review is the fact when she asked if we wanted the fried rice I said yes please and she rudely and sarcastically said Uhummmm. And when we picked up the order of fried rice I was written in all caps NO EGG! Not sure who this lady is but we haven’t seen her before. I just hope that Burapa Thai in Lovettsville can better screen prospective employees and train their current employees on providing better customer service. Those in business know that besides the product offered by the business, customer service is key in keeping customers coming back. We are extremely disappointed with the service we received at Burapa Thai.
I really wanted this to finally be a Lovettsville restaurant worth going to...unfortunately the search continues. I am no foodie, and certainly am very understanding of the covid restaurant challenges. First...website says they deliver; they don 't. Second....when I ordered for pick up over the phone, they told me 45-50 minutes. I arrived 45 min after the call, and had to wait an additional 35 minutes before the food was ready. I felt bad for the family dining in there that I over heard saying that it had been over 45 minutes since they placed their order and they were still waiting. Thirdly...and most importantly...the food. Though I took the food immediately when it was ready, and I only live two blocks away, the food was all cold when we got home to eat it. We overlooked this and used the microwave, trying to keep an open mind. Crispy Rolls: Very average: not great, not bad. Didn 't like the dipping sauce provided. Ying Yang Shrimp: the highlight of the meal. Was tasty and seemed fresh, in spite of having to microwave it. Decent sauce drizzled on it. Would order this item again. Unfortunately this is the only item I would order again, if I was to return...which, will be a long time from now. Fried calamari: Terrible. Seemed like cheap, grocery store frozen calamari. Inedible due to the toughness and rubbery texture. Teriyaki chicken: not sure why this is called teriyaki chicken. No flavor in chicken or sauce. Chicken with cashew nuts: same exact bland chicken as the teriyaki chicken in a sauce barely distinguishable from the teriyaki. If it didn 't have different vegetables in the dish, I would have bet that it was cooked in the same pan at the same time with the same sauce. Lastly: over priced for the quality. I don 't mind paying a premium for quality, and was hoping that is what I was paying for. Not the case. As a side note, I feel awful for the young lady working the counter here by herself. Not only working the take out counter, but also the only server in the restaurant. She wasn 't very busy, because she was waiting for the food just like the customers were, but I felt bad that she was the face of the operation, but had no control over the situation.
Always love the food here. Hot and sour soup is so good. Friendly staff and family owned.
