We thought it was good to come through them, but it became too much as soon as I realized that it vibrated the pipes of the bathroom. We called the reception and asked to go to another room and they accepted our request. Based on how fast they understood, I wondered if they already knew about the problem. I was disappointed that they brought us into this room at all, but glad they could give us the other room. The new room was more beautiful and bigger, but the bed was a full size instead of king.
Nice location for K-town. The rooms were very clean. They serve wine in the lobby for a happy hour. Pro tip.... Make sure you're after a room from the alley, so loud very early in the morning.
Hotel Normandie was our wedding hotel for our wedding weekend. Our wedding party, family and friends were all here and it was an explosion that all near for these few days. I worked closely with the manager J.R, for the planning and my millions of questions until the weekend and he was just fantastic. He really went beyond and beyond in so many aspects to ensure that we had the best experience possible during such a special weekend. In addition to J.R., the staff was generally so friendly and accommodating for our group. We were so grateful! In addition to the incredible customer service and kindness on behalf of the staff, the hotel itself was so cool, vintage and unique. Rooms and accommodation were great. We reserved two suites to hang out with our wedding parties, and I and my girls are ready in the conference room. I and my husband took our first look at the roof and they were just the most beautiful photos. Everything was made possible by J.R and we will be grateful forever!
I loved this place. It's an old LA building, lots of charm and character, yet the rooms are updated and slick! The service is impeccable. I wandered in at midnight after a disastrous experience at a different hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was totally accommodating and even gave me a bit of a discount, even though I had no reservation. My room was really nice, they have hardwood floors with rugs and a super comfortable bed. I highly recommend this hotel. It is worth every penny!
At this hotel I understood that Historical hotel means old everything, dirty and nasty with a really bad smell. It is not necessary for historic hotel to have broken tale, leaking shower and ugly carpet. Old furniture and About us story is enough. I wear my shoes all the time in my room. My children showered in flip flops. The room service is per request only. What 's good that it is dog friendly hotel and dog fee is 50$. But you can 't leave your dog in the room alone. Beautiful lobby but again bad smell. Complimentary wine everyday is nice too.
