The Hideout - Los Angeles

This was a shocker! The Hideout is literally off the side of the pool area of the W Hotel in west Beverly Hills. The food is very expensive for outdoor furniture and sticky tables and chairs. Also, it is valet parking only so add another $25 to your bill. We had four adults, two teenagers and one child with one adult ordering an alcoholic beverage...the bill was over $300 without a gratuity. My dish was avocado toast and my daughter 's dish was a 6 oz hamburger. That being said, our server was a delight...very kind and knowledgeable.

It's my go to Sunday brunch or lunch. Service is usually amazing. Very friendly, try to be accommodating to customers. It's outside with plenty of shade! Brunch and lunch prices are high, more like dinner pricing. Overall I really like this local spot!

This somewhat hidden restaurant is located within the W hotel and accessible via the stairs on the right side of the lobby. The outside of the restaurant is very Los Angeles, to say the least. Loud music, pool, lush greenery, high prices. Thankfully, the food was delicious and there were free refills on my lemonade. Service was fantastic. Due to the high prices per plate, I may not be back, but I wasn't disappointed with what I ate.

The Hideout is usually a good experience, in this case, Mothers Day it was a total debacle. Had my reservation far in advance and was really looking forward to it. Upon arrival it was immediately clear they were WAY overbooked. told that potentially a 20-30 minute wait, we opted to sit at another place on the hotel (stk), hostess said she would hring menus, never did. finally assigned a fantastic bartender who was now our server. took an hour and s half to get food, which was cold and undedone at the same time. whaf a debacle. never again. if i could give a zero I would. very faithful hotel guests of the W and routinely have had good experiences but this was completely disappointing

Showed up on time to my reservation and then the host told me it is a 20-30 minute wait because they overbooked their tables. We chose to sit at the bar while we waited and the menu prices are about $10-$15 more expensive than they are online. Picked this place because of the location and price. Immediately left and no one even noticed.
