Ojo Caliente And - Los Alamos

After a great afternoon at the spa soaking away the stresses we were able to grab a bar table as all the reservations on a Fall Saturday evening were taken. Great waitress. Very attentive! Had the poblano fries which were amazing as was the beet salad. For dinner I had the chile rellenos. This entree was a little surprising in delivery. It was probably what my body needed, as in nothing fried but it wasn't really what I wanted which was a deep fried Chile relleno with lots of melted cheese and sour cream...and that is not what you get. The Chile pepper was cooked but still crunchy. The molle sauce was spicy. The quinoa and corn side was tasty. The meal was nicely presented and filling but not quite what I was looking for. But that caused me to order the creme brulee with fresh strawberries. Now this was exactly what I was looking for... unhealthy yumminess!!

We just had a great meal at the Artesian resto. I had buffalo short ribs, a bbq sauce with mash and veg. One of the best meals i have had recently. I tried the ceviche yesterday and it is as good as any i have tried in South America. Breakfast is great and prices are very fair. Come here for the spa and the food. Friendly people and great ambience.

Just sloppy and the orders were cold, no bread, had to ask for drink menu, had to send food back, just a sad mess. Party reservation was not in system and we were blamed. Poor customer service from Bob who was left to handel the mess, who had to step away from the kitchen mess to go say to hi to EVERYONE in the restaurant, and avoided our table who would have appreciated an update on order times or even bread. Hour wait for orders that were not salads, would have been nice to have my wife get food before she had to go throw up from waiting so long. Just saddd

I really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. Although some of the dishes were served cold, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Since we only visited once, I can’t speak to the consistency.

The food was also incredible. I particularly enjoyed ordering a fresh salad topped with seared tofu. The tortilla soup was so good that I ended up ordering it both nights. We also had the chance to try breakfast one morning, and I loved the tofu scramble served with a tortilla on the side. I highly recommend making a reservation for dinner here and requesting Mateo as your server!
