Borikén Lounge - Lorain

We went here for date night tonight and this place definitely exceeded our expectations. The waitress was knowledgeable and what she wasn’t sure of went and asked the chef. I got the New York strip with rice and greens and the greens were seriously the best I’ve ever had! We got the short ribs for an appetizer and they were defiantly tasty. All in all great service great food.

First time to this restaurant and it was okay. I had the boriken burger with tostones, unfortunately it was not that great. But on the bright side I did have one of the Ramen noodle soups the spicy shrimp and it was spectacular I also ordered the short ribs which I thought was coming with some type of Asian sauce but it did not... they were still pretty good. For dessert I tried their cake which was pretty much a German chocolate that I could have probably gotten at Sam's club... Nothing authentic about that. I like the overall low key feel that the location had even though there's no authenticity to the name Boriken . Overall I would go back for the soup.

Wonderful experience! Drinks were fantastic! Food was incredible! Chocolate cake was AMAZING! Loved the atmosphere! Everyone was very nice and down to earth. Will be back!!!

Ramen was amazing! They were great when taking care of food allergies. Will eat the Asian short ribs again as they were tasty and an amazing appetizer!

The restaurants ambiance was exquisite and the music was very inclusive. The waiter who seemed very young did an excellent job as it seemed to only be her. However, this establishment chose to take part in the recent bar crawl. When we entered the establishment they informed us that we had to finish our drinks outside or they had to throw them away as we were not allowed to bring drinks into their establishment. This was a bit weird since we were participating in a BAR CRAWL. However we obliged to their rules. But then other customers came into the place with their drinks and they allowed them in and sat them at a table. Along with that the tostones did not taste like tostones and the burger that someone in my party ordered was EXTREMELY salty and because of the wait we did not have time to get a new burger made. Very disappointed with my experience.
