Blackbird Cafe - Long Beach

Blackbird is a neighborhood favorite with delicious, fresh, and creative meals for breakfast and lunch. This restaurant has been a staple in the area and has lasted longer than other restaurants that have been at this location.

Excellent food and service. We had the Huevos Rancheros, Poutine Tots and Blackbird Migas. Portions were large and very tasty. We would definitely go back when we are in the area.

Nice, neighborhood cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good variety on the menu. Omelets were good. Black beans were excellent. Decaf was passable. The service was very good. Restaurant and restroom were very clean. The weather was overcast so it was a little dark inside the cafe. Overall, a good experience. Would definitely come here again.

This is a nice little breakfast/lunch cafe for the locals. Great selection of unique breakfasts and benedicts for breakfast. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly, the place is clean and nicely decorated, and the coffee is good! We tried the Dos Caballeros soyrizo benedict and the smashed avocado breakfast sandwich with tater tots and fresh fruit. Both were tasty, and there was plenty to eat!

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We jumped at the opportunity because my mother was from Germany. This is a German restaurant specializing in Schnitzel. The restaurant is owned by a German Couple. The husband is like a conductor of a symphony orchestra. The food was like my late mother used to make. The Schnitzel was delicious and the side dishes were my favourite red cabbage and pan fried potatoes. I also ordered a tomato salad that was so good we took it home. I could go on and on but let me wrap it up by saying it is a superb restaurant. A reservation is definitely required as the restaurant is usually fully booked.
