Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse - Liverpool

Great dinner with our wonderful co-workers and Bridget made sure our last visit before our move to Texas was one of the most memorable we have had during our 20 years of Ichiban meals! Also really enjoyed Brian and his family who joined our Celebration from the other end of the table! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

My daughter has a ton of food allergies (including egg and sesame) so we’ve always been nervous to bring her to Ichiban even though we love it. We brought her tonight and they were so accommodating and had a solid food allergy plan so I felt very at ease. They prepared her dinner separately and she ate it with no issues. Great experience! Went for hibachi. Overall, it was pleasant to be there. I enjoyed the waiting area. Hostess and server were really nice. Price includes a lot of food. Fried rice was excellent. HOWEVER. We had reservations, but we were seated about 20 minutes after that time. Service was very slow. I suspect they were understaffed. We were seated in a side room, so we couldn't even watch the show at other tables while we waited. Substitution request was forgotten, and it took a long time for the correct item to be served. There was a produce sticker in my salad. Chef's skills were not as good as one would hope. Another person at our table did not receive the extra rice they requested, and the chef had to go get more. An older woman at the table said that the seating was uncomfortable for her. Except for the fried rice, the food was just okay. I would be willing to go back, but I will try other hibachi places first.

We had a pleasant experience, good service and good food. I'm actually headed back again tonight with a friend.
