Great food, very good service, very pleasant staff, made to feel very welcome.

The pub serves great comfort food and the service is friendly. However, the ladies' restroom is in urgent need of an upgrade; it looks quite worn.

Although it's a local pub, the food is excellent and offers a great variety for everyone. Our dog was warmly welcomed, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Highwayman has a great choice of food at reasonable prices, special diets are catered for. Sadly anything we ordered that needed frying was coated heavily in batter and quite overcooked. The time from ordering to receiving our food was nearly an hour, even though the pub appeared almost empty. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the gardens spacious and clean. We were a group of 10 adults and children and would come again , but may send the food back if arrived overcooked. Nice location, great for families.
