Frazao - Lisboa

On a rainy day in late October, almost midnight and the restaurants in belém were all crowded and very touristy. we drove to the foot in the direction of Lisbon City Centre and held in front of this small, very unpredictable place with a large paper menu... to the window, formica-toped tables and metal chairs. but we have blown inside and it seemed only native in there so that we decided that this was the place for us. we had both cod in different forms, both dishes were excellent, cooked in the small kitchen, served by a fairly tired owner? manager? we paid everyone for these dishes. unbelievable! and the man was kind enough to offer us a small glass ginja likör and to explain what it was. and then he chased us on the way!

Family run restaurant. Very friendly and personable services. Food is great! Strongly recommended.

Traditional Portuguese food as it should be. No gourmet hipness or tourist branded logo. Loved it and I hope that in such a gentrified Lisbon it remains as it is. Will be back for sure
