Funny enough we actually ran back into her later that evening while we were having dinner there! After a long day of exploring we arrived tired and hungry. The unsweetened iced tea was freshly brewed, strong and wonderfully refreshing. I had the trout dinner plate with greens, fried apples and cornbread. It arrived on a sizzling hot iron skillet and it was absolutely delicious. The perfect country dinner! My husband ordered the greek pizza. We took it home to our kids after it arrived with mozzarella cheese on it which he cannot tolerate. The menu only specified feta cheese on the pizza. The few bites I tried were very good and our girls loved it. We would absolutely come back here anytime we're in the Hot Springs area. A real gem!
This breakfast was awesome. We started with a fresh cinnamon roll the size of a plate and it was delicious! They sell out fast and people buy them by the dozen so go early. We met some locals while we waited and wound up getting some good info on sights and local food. The diner is one of the only original places in town. We loved the thick cut bacon, pancakes and home fries. A cool note: some of the local teachers work there in Summer and on Saturdays so tip like you mean it. ?
The food was delicious and hot Served with a smile and waitress was friendly Cinnamon bun was awesome
It 's now, The Salted Goat and it 's awesome food, dining and service!
Great little diner find. Very friendly staff. Don't let the outside deter you from stopping. I highly recommend the pimento cheese with a fried green tomato and bacon! So delicious! My husband got the country fried steak, pinto beans and fried green tomatoes. He raved about it. You will love it!
