Contribuiți la feedbackCame here today as we were up from Liverpool visiting our son who’s in Leeds uni and we’re looking for a carvery. We were a little worried at first as we are used to Toby carvery but omg this was so much better than Toby!! So much selection and portion sizes were unreal! Luke behind the carvery was so lovely chatted to us as he was serving us and also the waitress Abbie and Ali (I think) we will definitely be back again!
Meal spoilt by under cooked vegetables. I like al dente but not half cooked! Portions good but when I mentioned the veg to staff, got no feedback. The waitress just walked away
Good welcome and no que so we were straight in. It took a little while for someone to respond to the bell, but again very polite and friendly. The meat was plentiful and the gravy was tasty. However, the food was cold and we had to ask for it to be microwaved. The veg was also undercooked. Wwe did bring this to the attention of the manager, who was very apologetic and offered us a free coffee. Not sure we will be back again though!
The food was delicious and the portions of meat were generous. The man at the carving station was courteous and helpful, ensuring we got our money's worth.
There is a need for improvement at the Greene King-operated establishment Gildersome Arms. Three of us visited tonight, but we were disappointed to find out that the kitchen was closed at 7:30pm. Despite this, we decided to stay for a drink or two. The staff were friendly, but we were informed that last orders were at 9:00pm and the establishment would close promptly at 9:20-9:30pm on a Saturday night. The main issue that bothered us, and the reason we may not return, was the constant presence of flies in the seated bar area, which unfortunately disrupted our shortened visit.
