The chef has crazy combinations that excite the palate and satisfy. Always excited to see new menus.. portions are great and service never fails So glad they didn’t let restaurant sit after twisted thistle went out

My lovely girlfriend treated me to a birthday dinner last night and everything was awesome, great drinks, great food, sociable staff and great atmosphere.

Nina, our server was excellent and our dinner was well prepared and delicious. Meal service was nicely paced and the atmosphere is lovely. This team of restaurant owners has another success on their hands. Sorry that it took us so long to visit. We will return toot sweet!

Rustic restoration of a beautiful building plus a fantastic menu and great bar, so what’s not to like? We eat there often, but not often enough. Had a fantastic time last night. Sean and the gang continue to impress. The Baja Shrimp and Blackened Scallops were out of this world!

We went to National Public House for my birthday and had a very negative experience. We waited *one hour* for our appetizers. Then our entrees came out immediately afterward and they wanted to take our appetizers away. The steak on my steak sandwich was so heavily salted and seasoned as to be inedible. The potato and ham soup I had was tasty but it had no ham; it was just potato soup. The waitress and the manager apologized for the very long wait (they said it was due to a computer glitch not sending our orders to the kitchen), but they did not offer to comp any of our drinks, meals, or appetizers. We were still charged full price. Under these circumstances, it would have been appropriate to make a gesture of apology. We will not be back.
