Contribuiți la feedbackOur group had lunch with couples of wine of their young offers. the lunch was ok, the pairings very good, and the overall taste ok.
The third time we visited the restaurant and unfortunately this time was not as good as before. the children's menu and the starter were good, but the salads served as main courses did not live our expectations.
My family has come to the chateau la coste since its opening. in this year we were particularly excited as a friend had an exhibition and new sculpture. as usual the art walk was fantastic. despite the middle of the week (wed 5aug,) and the virus, the site was very busy. we booked the tadao ando by 1 clock on the terrace, left next to the door. the waiter was from the beginning, but also in the hospitable we are working some slip to the employees, if very busy. the waiter, about 170cm tall, dark hair - long over short sides, stubble/light beard, asked us first for our starters. we didn't want to start eating, who seemed to confuse him, and ordered four entrecotes and two children's dishes. my wife asked if she could swap the potatoes for salad and said: “It comes with salad, just don’t eat the potatoes” it was rude, but we let it happen. our steaks arrived and there were some confusion, which was medium-sized and the medium-sized. at the end was only one medium rare and the wrong person given. well tasted so we didn't say anything. my sohn had almost finished eating huh when I noticed that the center of bein was red. we point out that the waiter said: "It is good that they had told me before that I had brought them another one," we tried to protest that we did not know before, but he said the same again. I'm sorry, didn't say that he would mention it to the cook, did not offer to compose a coffee, nothing. this was far below the experience we have come to enjoy there and expect for relatiw simple food at this price point. Although we misunderstand, it is inevitable not to apologize at least to the guests when they are unhappy and try to accept them where they can. this also falls back to management to ensure that they are appropriate for the number of bookings they take, and the employees have the right training for the interaction with customers.
This restaurant was incredibly busy and you cannot book it! So it was that we were lucky and instantly got a table for two, bypassing groups of four and five and six hungry, anxious looking families, all salivating at what was on view . On...view were platters of delicious foods, whizzing past, on their way to tables of fellow diners. We just had local cheeses and hams with a large salad, some wine and breads SUMPTUOUS and DELICIOUS ! A wonderful experience and a modest bill.
