Very authentic, fair prices... This is our fifth year on this island and we have a lot to eat. He keeps pulling us back. The service is great as long as you are not too busy. If they are, prepare to wait. It's worth it. What is Fab: 1/ Margaritas 2/ spaghetti spicy tomatoes and garlic and cheese 3/ the fish soup wow!!!! The one with the lobster is really dying. 4/ Salsa mexicana really good And they give you many chips... We had also excellent guacamole, fish and ceviche. But we landed on our spaghetti, soup and salsa mexicana margaritas. We highly recommend this place, try different things. ps, if you have a large group, there is a lot of space to spread.

Buena vista was recommended by 2 local residents when we were asking for fresh, grilled fish options in Holbox. It's run by a family of fishermen, has the look and feel of a homely family run place, just behind the Amaite Hotel on the beach and close to the main pier where the tour boats leave from. We had lobster (4 good sized tails for MX$ 350) and fresh grilled fish with a good tomato/onion sauce on side, plus a dish of guacamole served with home baked taco chips. Lobster was excellent, cooked to perfection, fish was a tiny bit dry but still good, guacamole was excellent. Highly recommend for a local home-cooked fresh fish lunch or dinner.

We sat down and eventually were told that we couldn’t get service for a long while, even though others were seated and eating. Very strange. My husband asked if we could at least order a michelada; waitress said yes. We waited and waited and nothing ever came, so we gave up and left. Rude and weird.

We enjoyed a meal here and noticed several Mexican families at nearby tables. The menu was varied but I can definitely recommend the grilled fish with garlic and the guacamole. The service was attentive and friendly. Our table faced a large wall mural of sea life to remind us of where we were.

El lugar lo había visitado hace 3 años y era bueno, ahora que regrese fue una decepción. La comida es regular pero considerando los precios es mala y hay mejores opciones alrededor. Los meseros te ignoran por completo (raro en holbox) y a pesar de ser un restaurante en playa que normalmente son lentos, quien tiene prisa en sus vacaciones? Aquí caen en el extremo donde necesitarás 4horas para comer.
