America Donut - Lake Charles

Love the kolaches and frozen coffees! The ladies are so sweet! Added bonus that they have a clean restroom as well!

American Donut is a cozy little donut shop that contrasts with the strip mall setting that surrounds it. Unfortunately it isn't in a walkable location on the side of a highway, but the donuts are great and the staff is very friendly.

I tried them Monday morning on my way to clinical in the morning at 6 am, and I have been back every morning since! The sausage and cheese kolaches are amazing, and they warm them up for you so they will be hot when you get it. The donuts and donut holes MELT in your mouth and are so light and fluffy! They have my favorite coffee creamer, my boyfriends favorite monster, and they are so friendly and fast! 10/10

The donuts were melt in your mouth! They only received a “4” star because they were out of kolaches so early in the morning (when I felt like that comfort food was needed after two major hurricanes). I'm grateful that they were even open at all. Thanks America Donut.
