Chicken was tender and tastes great, Mac and cheese was extra cheesy good flavor, the french fries were kinda soggy. The potato salad was really good recommended by the server. Kinda pricey but worth the money.

The food is Amazing. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The server was not very friendly and started taking our drinks off the table while we were still talking. I geysers he was trying to get us to leave. The servers in the past have been great!

We were looking for a local place to eat while visiting Charleston, and I'm glad we found Nigel's. The food was delicious and plentiful. My husband had the fried chicken with cornbread, green beans, and red rice. I had the fried porkchops with macaroni and cheese, green beans, and hush puppies. Our server was friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Charleston again, we will be back.

Upon arrival there was a sign stating “wait to be seated” and while waiting there were only three waitress that looked at us but didn’t assist us. We then noticed the a woman be the the hostess, take phone orders, and bag up food for to-go. Once seated it a while to get our drink orders and drinks alone. Luckily we ordered the geechie wings (very tasty and fresh) but took about 30 minutes for us to get our food once getting our appetizer. Our food was hot and fresh but some was a hit or miss. Beware of wait time for food. Nigel’s Express is our go to place when visiting and only came to this location because the express location was out of certain food items. It was also ladies night (Saturday) and the DJ definitely kept up the atmosphere or else it would be 2/5 stars. Maybe we came on a bad night but would recommend the other location vs this one from my experience.

I just love this place! I refuse to let little things bother me ! My wife was sad though ! I found this little gem ! As we entered in , they seemed a little overwhelmed! We did get some feedback from the takeout crowd, that the fried pork chops were the bomb! So , I set my sites on the chops! We ordered about 7:15. About 8 pm we were told us the kitchen was backed up . At this 8:30 the waitress said the kitchen didn’t get the order! Ok , am honest mistake. My wife was starving though! At 8:40 our meal arrived! My cops were the last order! Lucky me! The green beans, potato salad and collards was good! The scallops were very disappointing! One note : when we arrived the waitress seemed annoyed at me. I love to joke and she appeared to be not into that ! As things unfolded, she became more apologetic! Mistakes after mistakes and we were super understanding! I just couldn’t see me getting upset! All in all , the food was good!
