We had a wonderful lunch! two families with a total of 4 children, while there is no official children's menu that pommes and steak worked great for them and even the croq monsieur (drilled cheese could be a good choice for them. for the adult the big mustels were especially brilliant with blue cheese. the athmosphere is really beautiful and the location in the 3rd floor is really picturesque (lighter access with a lift or a staircase). the wine selection is great and cheap. I had the muddles with one by the side, that was really delicious, not their run of the mill salat, but a lot of salat, radishes, wobbles, carrots, prudes and a beautiful tasting vinaiigrette. total a great place worth a detour/stop. a casual French eating place; very nice!
Surprised by the review 1 star of mr. I came to taste with my friend the three dishes he criticized so much because I am curious. this restaurant is well known for its excellent french wobble suppe and snails, among others. friends who have already come recommended the steak and the bark fillet. angus bark can't be a bad meat! it was the first time for us, we went in the rule in other restaurants in sd or la jolla, and wanted to try another place. some friends explained that this place is atypical because very friendly. veronica and patrice welcome them as friends. there is no amount of personal, and it is not an impersonal place. everyone is important and it is true! about the meal: the French woof soup was excellent, no meat broth, so perfect for vegetarian, and very hot, otherwise the cheese does not melt, and cold suppe is not good sir. the chicks were wonderful, not too salty, and the sauce. the steak was not served with sauce, only grilled. So, I guess mr. asked. to understand his comments, I did the same and surprise! excellent pfeffersoße. I asked Veronica, the wife and waitress of the owner, how the pfeffer sauce was made. it's obviously homemade. a1 soße? it's a sweat sir? I hope you complained about this venerable food. but I don't think, because if you did, because I know the owners, they would have done something for you. it is easier to write a very bad review and be insulting than to complain when they are in the restaurant. some people do it! and I know that owners cannot answer! whatever, everything was excellent, and we will be happy again! thanks to the chef and the owner and his wife for this warm welcome and this good food!
It is not even close to French eating lescargot sauce was totally wrong without taste) tweeper soup the worst I ever had so hot, you can not eat any taste. entercote bad meat asked for poivre sause I got a1 with pfeffer . I hope they bring someone into the kitchen to cook to put nothing together, I will never go back. washed $140 for a terrible dinner yuk
At least our fourth visit. It 's on our regular list for date nights . Husband-wife owners (front-end; chef) and staff are super. Great for those who want to have a real French cuisine and dining experience.
