Donut Star - La Jolla

Cheap and delicious. Fast friendly service. Small selection, but pretty much everything I had was excellent. Top picks are the applesitter (which are massive) and the maple old fashion donuts.

Cheap. Good selection of donuts. Only cash. Not sure what the other reviewer talks about the staff that does not use masks. They do not touch donuts directly and use pliers.

I give him a 5 stars to da Donuts Star cause da Donuts was very tasty, n fresh, but damn there price for a dozen was crazy $31.00 I never paid over $14.99 for a dozen. Best donuts ever, but I'm sorry I don't go home too expensive.

The raised donut was delicious. The butter milk donut was also really nice. The old fashions seemed like it was really good if you did one more.

So, let me first say the donuts are absolutely delicious in Donut Star at the corner of the university and Fairmont Ave. The compliments stop there. On two separate occasions I came to the counter to get a donut. I politely asked the woman to wash her hands before she served me because I saw she surfed on her phone and treated it for good 2 minutes before she saw me at the switch. She was immediately irritated to my request. I was shocked that she would get that answer. I tried to explain my question, I help her not to see my point in any case. About 3 weeks later I came back to get another donut this time (and I don't have a child) she went with money. She counted $400 to give the customer to me. Once again I asked politely if you would please wash your hands before you serve me. Again, on my request, it was explosively annoyed. Man. I'm wrong? So I'm not gonna get a donut from this place anymore. Buyer beware do nut
