Le Best Of - La Ciotat

Terrible ecperience. we had to take a quick lunch before we drove on a boat trip and landed here unhappy. it took them until we had ordered us to tell us that there was no pizza anymore? So we ordered a pancake, tomatenmozzarela and two ice creams...I don't know what it was for a cheese, but it never had laid near mozzarela. we said there was no vanille ice cream again? then it didn't come. we asked a few times and look like we were crazy asking. really. avoid it at any price.

Hi! It was our first bad dinner in France. Even local wine was bad. I purchased mussels in provancile style I have got too few for moderate price and they cooked badly. The service was slow without personal attitude. So, my recommendation avoid...it!

I found this place while wandering in the rain before high tourist season. The friendliness of the server drew me inside the plastic protected outdoor seating on the edge of the waterfront. Very low key atmosphere yes, the owner smoked in the doorway but entertaining...people watching for this solo traveler. Excellent salad with chicken and egg plus a glass of wine and plenty of bread. A satisfying meal with the locals.

On arrival, we could see tables packed with what seemed to be eager people looking to taste the delights of a famous La Ciotat restaurant. By the end of our meal, it was clear that most of the people had just been sitting around for...a LONG LONG time. If you want to sit for half an hour without a menu then Le Best of is for you. If you want half the menu to be unavailable, then go here. If you want to wait another hour for your food, you will love this place. If you want to be served a steak that has been murdered twice, then enjoy. If you like toilets with no locks and kids meals that I wouldn't give to a pig then you're eyes will light up. 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. Never!

I enjoyed a nice meal in le best, although the staff seemed no English at all, we came by and that was nice to eat.
