Contribuiți la feedbackI thought the food here was delicious. Usually I wouldn’t go to crown to try Thai food as this isn’t my chosen cuisine but I am so glad I did!<br/ <br/ My friends and I went as they were having a promotion (free dish for Thai stamps in your passport) we got three free dishes and ordered a few more. <br/ <br/ Everything was full of flavour and had the right amount of punch when it came to spice! Will for sure come back to try some more food. Really happy I went!
Bumped into this restaurant for a late Friday night dinner and the food was an absolute delight. Everything was super fresh, tasty and quantity and quality both were at par. Plus the additional entertainment book discount was a cherry on top!Husband and friends enjoyed chicken fried rice the least but the curries took away all the points. Especially the yellow vegetable curry! I see myself visiting this place soon.
The place was nicely decorated and the food was ok. We ordered the duck fried rice, skewers and black sticky rice with egg custard and ice cream. I really liked that dessert. Was really good. The fried rice was ok, a bit too salty and the skewers had too much seasoning on top. Chicken was really tender though.
One thing I need to start off with is the decor and most things on the menu here is exactly the same as Long Chim. So what we experienced was not too different, however the bill was nearly twice the amount! I have no idea how that happened however I don’t really see it worth it. Saying that it still didn’t stop us enjoying the dinner : The school prawns, oysters, Betal leaf, chicken wings and eggplant was definitely the stand outs and quite delicious! The cocktails aren’t bad if you don’t mind a lot sweetness. The squid was terrible to the point we had to return it. The service was again the same as what we experienced at Long Chim.
Ging Thai is located at the Crown and has two levels. So that we didn't have to choose what dishes to order, we selected the Feed Me menu for $68 per person. It has eight dishes and includes Pad Thai and Thai fish cakes which are typical Thai dishes. Also included in the Feed Me menu was roti bread, chicken satay, salmon salad, a beef curry, a vegetable dish and coconut and Pandan icecream for dessert. The dishes were very nice however they were probably prepared to cater for the Westerners palate as they were not at all spicy. For an extra $40 per person the Feed Me menu can be paired with drinks. We however chose to order cocktails. There were eight to select from and each were around $22.<br/ <br/ The restaurant can accommodate different size groups and also has small cosy booths.<br/ <br/ Would recommend Going Thai.<br/ <br/ @wazzzzzzza
